A political analyst and former Local Government Chairman of Ogbadibo Local Government Area in Benue State, Adoyi Omale has said that the 2023 presidential election in 2023 is the turn of the South East.

According to Omale, former President Olusegun Obasanjo who is from the South West spent eight years as president while Muhammadu Buhari also will be spending eight years urging Nigerians to support the Labour Party (LP) Presidential candidate Peter Obi from the South East to win the election.

Omale said the entire middle belt people will vote for Obi for unity and development of the country.

“It is not the turn of Tinubu because Obasanjo from the South West spent eight years there. It is not the turn of the north because Buhari will be spending eight years also.

“The South East which suffered from the civil war needs to be considered and reintegrated into the country. All these agitation will stop if a competent person from the South East is elected president and Peter Obi is the best among all the candidates,” Omale said.

“If Peter Obi becomes the president, the issue of talking about marginalization is finished in the South East.

“We have worked for the PDP, we have worked for the APC and now, we are working for the Labour Party. The next election is not about the party. It is about competence and we see that competency in Peter Obi,” Omale added.
