The Kano State Special Advisers’ Forum has declared its unwavering loyalty to Governor Abba Yusuf, affirming its alignment with his political direction amid what it described as a tense political climate in the state.

The forum made the declaration on Saturday in Kano in a statement signed by its Secretary, Dr Idris Salisu Rogo. It stressed that Governor Yusuf remains the leader of the government with ultimate authority over political decisions in the state.

According to the statement, members of the Forum resolved to support all political decisions taken by the governor in the overall interest of Kano State and the welfare of its people.

“His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kano State, is the leader of the government and holds ultimate authority over political direction and decision-making,” the forum stated, adding that its members are fully aligned with the governor’s leadership, vision and policies.

The advisers also urged political actors, party members, appointees and supporters to exercise restraint in their utterances and conduct, warning that inflammatory comments, personal attacks and the circulation of private communications could erode public confidence and distract the government from its developmental focus.

While acknowledging that politics is dynamic in a democratic setting, the Forum emphasised that political engagement must be anchored on maturity, decorum and mutual respect to preserve Kano’s long-standing reputation for political awareness and civility.

The statement reaffirmed the Forum’s collective support for the Yusuf administration, particularly in the areas of good governance, people-centred policies, infrastructure development, social welfare and institutional reforms.

“The progress recorded across critical sectors under his leadership is evident and deserves collective protection and consolidation,” it added.

The Forum urged all stakeholders to place the overall interest of Kano State above personal grievances or political rivalries, stressing that unity within government is essential for political stability and effective service delivery.
