NYSC Warns Against Night Journeys As 2026 Batch ‘A’ Orientation Begins January 21

The 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream 1 Orientation Course of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme is scheduled to commence on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, in all the 37 NYSC Orientation Camps across the country with a warning to prospective Corps members to avoid night journeys.

Camp registration for all prospective Corps Members will take place from Wednesday, January 21 to midnight on Friday, January 23, 2026.

A press statement by Caroline Embu, Director of Information and Public Relations, on Tuesday, stated that the Swearing-in Ceremony will hold on Friday, January 23, 2026, while the Closing Ceremony is scheduled for Tuesday, February 10, 2026.

“The Director-General, Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, wishes all prospective Corps Members safe travels to their respective states of deployment,” the statement said.
