Ruling Party Stakeholders Mobilise Supporters For Tinubu

Political activities peaked yesterday in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, as stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) met and mobilised party faithful in the zone to endorse President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the sole candidate of the party in the 2027 general elections.

In a move facilitated by the Renewed Hope Ambassadors team, led by Senator Teslim Folarin, APC stakeholders indicated their resolve to travel around the state’s seven geopolitical zones and 14 federal constituencies to mobilise grassroots support for the president and the APC ahead of next year’s polls.

Speakers at the open-air meeting held at Soun Ogunlola Hall in Oja’gbo, Ogbomoso, were unanimous in their call for unity and understanding among leaders and members of the APC in the state, as they believed that only this could guarantee the party’s overall success in future elections.

Folarin, in his keynote address, charged members of the party to take the Renewed Hope Agenda message to the grassroots, “as it is essential for the informed minds to educate others about the quality of leadership being offered by President Tinubu, who is leaving no stone unturned to reposition Nigeria and guarantee prosperity, stability and peace to the citizenry.

“Our mission here today is to tell the whole world that we, in Oyo State, are ready to key into the Renewed Hope Agenda and showcase the spirit of love and togetherness which is prevailing in our great party at the moment.

At the appropriate time, we will hit the nooks and crannies of the state to mobilise voters for the 2027 general elections, as it is going to be a total victory for the APC.” Folarin said.

Also, a former first lady of the state and ambassador-designate, Mrs Florence Ajimobi, enjoined the members to promote unity and peace among themselves.

“It is obvious that APC is the only formidable political party in the state, and I can assure you all that the current atmosphere of peace will be nurtured and sustained, as all key stakeholders have agreed to work for the re-election of our dear president and also return the APC to Agodi Government House in 2027.

The high point of the meeting was the endorsement of President Tinubu for a second term in office and the formal reception of hundreds of defectors from other political parties into the APC. The new members were drawn from Ogbomoso North, Ogbomoso South, Oriire, Ogo-Oluwa and Surulere local government areas.

Stakeholders who attended the meeting included Olayide Abas, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, Chief Iyiola Oladokun, Chief Alake Adeyemo, Engr. Rauf Olaniyan, Sen. Abdulfatai Buhari, Sen. Sarafadeen Alli, Sen. Yunus Akintunde, Sen. Ayoade Adeseun, Chief Sunday Dare, Sen. Hosea Agboola, Alhaji Fatai Ibikunle, Engr. Idris Adeoye, Chief Akin Oke, Hon. Aderemi Oseni, Hon. Olamiju Alao-Akala, Dr Akin Onigbinde SAN, Hon. Olagunju Ojo, Hon. Asimiyu Alarape, Hon. Bolaji Repete and Hon. Akeem Akogun.
