Kwankwaso Hails Governor Yusuf At 63, Reflects On Political Alliance

Leader of the Kwankwasiyya Movement and former Kano State governor, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has congratulated Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf on his 63rd birthday, reflecting on what he described as decades of shared political struggle and service to the state.

In a message posted on his verified social media handles on Monday night, Kwankwaso recounted Governor Yusuf’s political journey under his mentorship, highlighting the various roles he played across different administrations.

Kwankwaso said Yusuf first served as his personal assistant during his first tenure as Kano State governor and later when he was a minister. He said Yusuf subsequently rose to the position of principal private assistant before being appointed a commissioner during his second tenure as governor.

According to the former governor, Yusuf’s progression through these roles underscored his contributions to the vision and programmes they jointly pursued for the development of Kano State, culminating in his emergence as the state’s executive governor.

“On this day, I appreciate the birthday of the executive governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf,” Kwankwaso wrote, describing their relationship as one forged through years of political collaboration and public service.

Kwankwaso asked God to grant the governor wisdom, good health and clarity of purpose as he continues to lead the state.
