Ryan Alebiosu is back in full training with Nigeria’s Super Eagles, having successfully recovered from a recent short injury layoff.
The Blackburn Rovers defender sustained the injury during Nigeria’s final group stage match against the Cranes of Uganda. The incident occurred when Alebiosu was forcefully shoved into the advertising boards by Ugandan defender Aziz Kayondo.
Initial concerns suggested that the injury might rule him out for the remainder of the tournament. However, much to the relief of the Super Eagles camp, Alebiosu rejoined his teammates for training on Thursday, following their arrival from Marrakech.
The 24-year-old is now fully fit and available for selection in Saturday’s crucial AFCON 2025 quarter-final fixture against the Desert Foxes of Algeria.
The eagerly anticipated encounter is scheduled to take place at the Grand Stade de Marrakech.
