The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, has felicitated former governor of Sokoto state and ex-speaker of the House, Senator Aminu Tambuwal, on his 60th birthday, describing the celebrant as “a thoroughbred politician.”
Abbas said Tambuwal, who represents the Sokoto South Senatorial District, has recorded great achievements in politics and public administration over the years.
The Speaker, in a congratulatory message issued through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Musa Krishi, said Tambuwal, despite being a member of the opposition, remains one of the finest minority members of the Senate who approach national issues with patriotism.
The speaker noted that, judging by his conduct, Senator Tambuwal is one of the good ambassadors of the House in the Senate.
He said Tambuwal’s 60 years on earth are marked by selflessness, kindness, dedication, and service to humanity.
Speaker Abbas prayed to Allah (SWT) to grant Senator Tambuwal longevity, sound health, and increased wisdom to continue serving the people.
