Accolades As Kebbi Varsity Confers Degree On Gov. Lawal

Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State has continued to receive accolades from residents following the conferment of an Honorary Doctorate degree on him by Abdullahi Fodio University of Science and Technology, Aliero.

The honour was conferred upon Governor Lawal during the university’s inaugural joint convocation ceremony.

Reacting to the conferment, a cross-section of residents in Zamfara State said it was well-deserved, considering that the governor has given top priority to education and social welfare.

A statement by the governor’s spokesperson, Sulaiman Bala Idris, noted that Governor Lawal was selected and confirmed for the honorary doctorate degree by the university’s Senate based on his track record.

The university stated that the honour demonstrates its dedication to recognising individuals whose work has made a significant and enduring impact on society.

The Senate recognised Governor Lawal’s accomplishments in education, health, infrastructure, the economy, and workers’ welfare as key reasons for the honour.

Such recognitions will encourage the governor to put more effort into his resolve to make Zamfara State greater.
