Varsity Alumni Lauds Akpabio Over Leadership Style, Service

For his leadership at the National Assembly that fostered peace, ethnic harmony and national cohesion, the president of the Akwa Ibom State branch of the Alumni Association of Abia State University (ABSU) has applauded the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio.

The branch president, Mr Effiong Etukudoh, who spoke with LEADERSHIP in Uyo, the state capital, said the Senate President as a patriotic statesman had steered the mantle of leadership of the 10th Senate along the path of peace and unity in Nigeria.

Working in close collaboration with the executive led by President Bola Tinubu, the alumni chief noted that such synergy has worked seamless towards effective implementation of the ongoing socio-economic reforms across all sectors of the nation’s economy.

He, therefore, urged for the sustainability of the ties for a successful implementation of the federal government’s Renewed Hope Agenda (RHA)a in 2026, and beyond.

He said: “As we welcome the dawn of a new year, it is with great honor and optimism that I, on behalf of the Abia State University Alumni Association, Akwa Ibom State Branch, extend our warmest greetings to you and your distinguished family.

“The beginning of a new year is a momentous occasion that allows us to reflect on our past endeavours and set our sights on the future. As we look back on the achievements you have spearheaded in your capacity as Senate President, we are filled with admiration for your tireless commitment to our nation. Your exemplary leadership continues to inspire hope and unity among Nigerians.

“We are excited about the prospects this new year holds, particularly for the educational sector. We believe that your advocacy for quality education and youth empowerment will pave the way for a brighter tomorrow for countless individuals across the country.

“As alumni, we stand ready to support initiatives that promote educational advancement and contribute positively to our communities and the nation at large.”
