The Kwara State governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, yesterday cautioned youth corps members posted to the state to avoid night travels as a precautionary security measure.

Represented by his deputy, Mr Kayode Alabi, he gave the advice while declaring  the Batch A stream 1 orientation course open in Ilorin yesterday.

The governor said while government would continue to play its role, everyone must also recognise that security is a collective responsibility.

“I advise you to remain security-conscious at all times. Avoid night travels and strictly adhere to the NYSC guidelines on movement and posting so that everyone who invested in your success including yourselves, your families and the nation can be assured of your safety,” he said.

While congratulating the corps members on the successful completion of their academic journey and mobilisation for the national assignment, Governor AbdulRazaq charged them to serve Nigeria with patriotism, discipline, and integrity.
