Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Geo-political Zone Forum have appealed to Hon. Joshua Chinedu Obika, member of the House of Representatives for AMAC/Bwari Federal Constituency, to return to the party.

At a press conference in Abuja, Comrade Abdulwahab Ekekhide, secretary of the Geo-Political Zones State Chairmen, commended Obika’s legislative performance over the past two and a half years, highlighting his efforts in presenting bills aimed at developing FCT communities and empowering constituents.

“Hon. Obika is a prominent political figure in FCT, and APC is your home. You were once a member of our great party before joining the opposition Labour Party. We believe it is time for you to return and contribute to the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” Ekekhide said.

Former AMAC Vice Chairman and leader of the forum, Hon. Lawrence Onu Chukwu, highlighted the benefits APC members in FCT have received under the Tinubu administration, including ministerial appointments.

Chukwu described Obika’s move to the Labour Party as a waste of his talent and capacity and urged him to return. “Obika is not a stranger here; he belongs to APC. The door is open for him to come back and continue contributing to the development of AMAC/Bwari and FCT at large,” he said.
