Governors of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), under the auspices of Progressives Governors Forum (PGF), have  resolved to reinforce the party’s grassroots structures.

The governors, after a closed-door meeting in Abuja on Wednesday, said the move will strengthen party cohesion and progressive governance in Nigeria.

In a communique issued at the end of the meeting at the Imo State Governor’s Lodge, Asokoro in Abuja, the governors  added that the process would  begin with a visit to Taraba State.

The governors also emphasised the importance of transparent and coordinated financial management in the conduct of congresses and conventions, ensuring fairness, consistency, and accountability across all states, including those without APC-governed administrations.

This is just as PGF reviewed and endorsed the proposed timetable and institutional framework as approved by National Executive Committee (NEC) for the forthcoming Ward, Local Government, State, Zonal Congresses and the National Convention of the party.
