2023: MUSWEN Endorses Tinubu For President

Ahead the 2023 general election, the Muslim Ummah of South West Nigeria (MUSWEN) has declared its support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

MUUSWEN’s president, Alhaji Rasaki Oladejo, told newsmen on the sideline of the 7th General Assembly of MUSWEN held at the Islamic Centre, University of Ibadan that their support for Tinubu alongside others was not based on his religious affiliations, but competence as well as track records.

According to him, MUSWEN has already made its intention known, adding that, ‘’We are supporting Tinubu to become president. Our support for Tinubu is based on his competence and track records.

“We can all see his performance as governor of Lagos State and the state till date remained the number one most viable state in Nigeria with lots of innovations,” he said.

Oladejo said that the choice of Kashim Shettima as Tinubu’s running mate was just a coincidence, urging the people to vote enmasse for Tinubu in the general election.
