FG Releases Fund For School Feeding Programme In Katsina

The federal government has released funds into the Accounts of Vendors for the continuation of the school feeding programme in Katsina State.

The State Special Adviser, Department of Empowerment and Special Intervention  Abdulkadir Mamman Nasir, disclosed this during a meeting with Stakeholders on social investment programmes in the State.

He said, following the release of the funds, the School feeding programme commenced on Monday 21st November 2022 across all the Schools in the state.

In a press statement signed by the PRO of the department,  Abubakar Mamuda, stated that the Special Adviser who also doubled as the State Focal Person of the Programmes, directed the vendors to continue with the programme in the State.

He therefore pointed out that those with BVN and other Problems are also advised to visit the Department for clarification that problems had since been rectified,  calling on the cooks not to relent in providing food to the Pupils as stipulated in the programme’ time table.

While affirming that the department would not tolerate any Vendor found wanting, Nasir enjoined them to work tirelessly towards ensuring success of the Programme.

Nasir added that committees sat up at State, Local governments and Ward levels will continue to monitor the programme upon its commencement.

He charged parents to reciprocate the gesture by voting the APC for the sustenance of the School Feeding and other Programmes initiated by the APC led Administration to better the lives of Nigerians.
