The newly inaugurated Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), Prof. Mohammed Isa Kida, has cautioned staff not to mistake his simplicity for weakness.
Kida issued the warning during his inaugural address as the fourth substantive Vice-Chancellor of FULafia.
Outlining the focus of his administration, he pledged to sustain the momentum established by his predecessor, Prof. Shehu Abdul Rahman.
He assured the university community that his administration would continue the good work started by Abdul Rahman and build on the steady progress already made.
Kida, a Professor of Accounting, emphasised the need for collective action and responsibility in advancing the university’s mandate.
He urged academic and non-teaching staff, students and governing bodies to support his administration.
Kida stressed that achieving institutional stability and academic excellence would require commitment and discipline from all, and he appealed for cooperation and understanding to help his administration succeed.
