A video circulating online has captured the moment an ambulance struck and ran over an individual who appeared to be a spectator during the 11th edition of the Access Bank Lagos City Marathon on Saturday in Lagos.

The clip, shared on X by a user identified as #Mrolaoluwa, showed runners moving along a city road before an ambulance approached from behind and appeared to hit someone along the race route.

The user who posted the video wrote, “ I hope that guy that ambulance just hit at the Lagos City Marathon now, is safe.”

As of the time of filing this report, authorities had not issued an official statement confirming details of the incident. The identity and condition of the individual involved had yet to be ascertained, and it remained unclear whether the person struck was a race participant or a bystander.
