Indomie has reaffirmed its commitment to preserving Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage through its sponsorship and active participation at the 61st edition of the Argungu Fishing and Cultural Festival, one of Northern Nigeria’s most iconic traditional celebrations.

Established in 1934 as a symbol of peace and unity between the people of Argungu and neighbouring communities, the historic festival has grown into an internationally recognised cultural event following its UNESCO listing. This year’s successful edition once again drew thousands of visitors to Kebbi State, with the iconic fishing competition at the Matan Fada River thrilling spectators and reaffirming the festival’s lasting cultural significance.

Beyond the celebrated fishing contest, the festival delivered a vibrant and colourful showcase of Northern Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage, further underscoring the resounding success of this year’s event. From captivating traditional music and dance performances to craft exhibitions, agricultural displays, and thrilling sporting competitions, every segment of the festival highlighted the depth and diversity of the region’s identity.Screenshot 20260216 162300 Gallery
