Edo State-born South Africa entrepreneur, Dennis Iseghohimen, has expressed confidence that the appointment of Hon. Sylvester Aigboboh as the Edo State coordinator for President Bola Tinubu National Hope Ambassador will strengthen Tinubu’s re-election in the state.
Recall that Edo State APC and Governor Monday Okpebholo had promised to deliver 3.5 million votes for Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.
In a statement yesterday, Iseghohimen described the appointment as a well-deserved recognition of Aigboboh’s dedication to progressive politics and grassroots mobilisation in Edo.
Aigboboh, who serves as vice chairman of APC in Edo State, was recently named to coordinate the National Hope Ambassador Initiative in the state in support of President Tinubu’s re-election bid.
According to Iseghohimen, the appointment reflects Aigboboh’s longstanding commitment to party unity and his strong connection with local communities.
“This strategic appointment is not only a recognition of Hon. Aigboboh’s unwavering dedication to progressive politics, but also a testament to his long-standing commitment to grassroots mobilization and party unity in Edo State,” he said.
He added that Aigboboh had consistently demonstrated leadership capacity, organisational strength and the ability to connect with people across different strata of society.
“As a respected grassroots politician and Vice Chairman of the APC in Edo State, he has consistently demonstrated strong leadership, organisational strength, and the ability to connect with the people at all levels,” Iseghohimen stated.
The business executive noted that the new role carries significant importance as political actors begin to strategise ahead of the next electoral cycle.
“At a time when strategic grassroots engagement, voter education, and coordinated mobilisation are critical, Hon. Aigboboh’s influence and credibility across local communities will undoubtedly strengthen the President’s support base,” he said.
He further expressed confidence that Aigboboh’s understanding of the political landscape in Edo State would help consolidate party structures and effectively communicate the Renewed Hope agenda of the Tinubu administration
“This appointment reinforces the administration’s commitment to empowering tested and trusted leaders who understand the pulse of the people.
