Maltina has launched its first-ever Ramadan Light-Up in Kano as part of activities marking its 50th anniversary, illuminating Kofa Nassarawa Emir Palace Road to welcome the holy month.
The event, held on Friday, February 20, transformed the historic route into a symbolic display of unity and renewal in celebration of Ramadan.
The evening commenced with “The Shared Table,” a communal Iftar gathering where guests broke their fast at sunset and observed Maghrib prayers. The gathering brought together members of the Islamic community, government representatives, religious leaders, influencers, and company executives.
The official switch-on of the lights followed the Iftar, accompanied by Qur’anic recitations, setting a reflective tone for the Ramadan season.
Speaking at the event, portfolio manager at Maltina Company, Elohor Olumide-Awe, said the initiative reflects the brand’s commitment to promoting togetherness and community spirit.
“Ramadan is a season of renewal, sharing, and reflection. For 50 years, Maltina has stood for nourishment, happiness and togetherness. This Light-Up reflects our belief that true nourishment lies not only in what we drink, but in the connections we build and the communities we strengthen,” she said.
According to the company, the Ramadan Light-Up forms part of Maltina’s 50th anniversary activities and underscores the brand’s engagement with communities through cultural and religious celebrations.
