Katsina State Governor, Dikko Umaru Radda, has approved the appointment of Mr Nafi’u Mohammed Musa as the new Project Coordinator of the Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes (ACReSAL) Project, with immediate effect.
The announcement was contained in a statement issued on Sunday by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed.
According to the statement, the Governor also redeployed the outgoing ACReSAL coordinator to the Katsina State Ministry of Environment, where he will assume a new strategic role.
Governor Radda said the decision was part of ongoing efforts to strengthen institutional capacity and improve the management of development programmes across the state.
“We are building stronger systems to deliver development programmes more effectively. This appointment reflects our commitment to excellence in project implementation,” the Governor stated.
Mr Nafi’u Mohammed Musa previously served as Project Coordinator for KT-CARES, demonstrating strong leadership and administrative competence in the execution of development initiatives.
The Governor expressed appreciation to the outgoing coordinator for his contributions to the ACReSAL Project and wished him success in his new assignment.
The statement noted that the new coordinator is expected to consolidate on existing achievements and enhance the delivery of ACReSAL interventions throughout Katsina State.
Governor Radda directed the outgoing coordinator to conduct a comprehensive handover of all documents, project equipment, and responsibilities in accordance with established procedures.
The Katsina State Development Management Board (KTDMB), the statement added, will continue to function as the central coordinating body for development partners and projects in the state.
Governor Radda further urged government agencies and development partners to extend full cooperation and support to the new coordinator to ensure seamless continuity of the project. The appointment takes immediate effect.
