Gunmen Kill 4 Traders In Plateau

No fewer than four traders have been feared killed on Monday when gunmen ambushed a group of six shoe sellers travelling from Gangare, Jos North LGA to Pankshin LGA for business transaction in Plateau State.

LEADERSHIP gathered that the victims were attacked by the gunmen before reaching Mangu Hale in Mangu LGA of the State.

The killing of the traders raised tensions within Jos and its environs, leading to deployment of security personnel to restore order.

Meanwhile, Suleiman Abubakar, an official of the Traders and Marketers Association, Jos Main Market branch, confirmed the incident, stating that the victims were intercepted at gunpoint.

“Four out of the six traders from Gangare, Jos, going to Pankshin were attacked and killed.

“Two of them escaped, and we have spoken with them,” Abubakar said.
