President Bola Tinubu has congratulated former First Lady, Aisha Buhari, on her 55th birthday, describing her as a courageous and principled woman who is “not afraid to stand alone” on matters concerning her values and ideals.

In a message personally signed by him on Monday, the President joined her family and friends in celebrating the milestone.

“I join the family and friends of Hajiya Aisha Buhari to congratulate her on her 55th birthday. Fifty-five is a significant milestone, and I celebrate with the former First Lady on this occasion,” he said.

President Tinubu described Hajiya Buhari as “an Amazon, a courageous and principled woman,” adding that she remained steadfast in defending her convictions.

“She is not afraid to stand alone on matters bordering on her values and ideals. She is as ever certain as the North Star; a woman for all seasons,” the President stated.

He also acknowledged her humanitarian efforts through the Aisha Buhari Foundation, noting that the organisation has upheld the rights of women and children and provided support to many families.
