The Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) has donated Ramadan packages to the Muslim faithful of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF).
Presenting the packages, which included rice, beans, and garri to the officers of the Nigeria Police Force at the Force headquarters Mosque in Abuja on Friday, the national chairman of PCRC, Alhaji Ibraheem Mogaji Olaniyan, said it was just an act to encourage the officers during this Ramadan period.
Also, the acting inspector-general of police, IGP Olatunji Disu, appreciated the kind gesture of the PCRC and noted that the welfare of the officers and men of the Nigeria Police Force was paramount to him.
The IGP also noted that the PCRC has been part of the Nigeria Police Force and has contributed immensely to the work of the Nigeria Police.
Meanwhile, the chief Imam of Force Headquarters Mosque, Alhassan Yakub, said the packages will be distributed to the officers accordingly.
While appreciating the PCRC for the donations, the chief Imam said the gift came at the right time as it is the month of Ramadan
It would be noted that as its established tradition in the Police Community Relations Committee, the organisation celebrates and supports dedicated police officers and men during both the Christmas and Ramadan seasons.
The PCRC also visited Police Service Commission (PSC) and Ministry of Police Affairs, to present Ramadan palliatives to them.
