Forum of commissioners and special advisers in Adamawa State have defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

At least 23 commissioners in the state cabinet and 39 special advisers, at separate press conferences, documented their signatures in a show of solidarity with the governor.

They cited 11 court cases being faced by PDP at the national level as reason for their defection.

They said their decision is aimed at demonstrating a unified front in support of Governor Fintiri’s decision, a move the commissioners described as being taken in the “best interest of Adamawa State.”

According to the commissioners, their collective stance reflects a commitment to political stability, continuity of governance, and the overall development agenda of the state.

Speaking on behalf of the cabinet members present, Alloysious Babadoke, Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, James Iliya, Commissioner for Information and Strategy, and Dr Garba Umar Pella, Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development and Habu Jada for the advisers emphasised that their decision was reached after wide consultations and careful consideration of prevailing political realities.

They noted that their endorsement was not merely symbolic but a reaffirmation of loyalty to the administration’s vision in the state.
