The Benue State government has entered a partnership with Kaotheem Energy Services Limited (Hudson Global) in collaboration with Taicorp Capital Partners to mobilise capital for investments in education and innovation, agro-industrial processing, infrastructure, enterprise development, and inclusive wealth creation.
Technical adviser to the governor on media, publicity and strategic communication, Chief Solomon Iorpev in a statement yesterday said the partnership which is expected to create over 10,000 jobs when fully operational, has a major component of Artificial Intelligence capable of aiding the state to transition from a traditional agrarian economy to an industrialised powerhouse, thus transforming raw agricultural produce into high-value products while leveraging AI-based cutting-edge technology.
The statement said Alia-led administration had embarked on this partnership with the clear understanding that for industrialisation to be sustainable, it must be research-based, and the establishment of the Benue State University of Agriculture, Science and Technology presents an opportunity to bridge the gap between academic theory and industrial application”
According to the statement, Benue State is blessed with high crop yields including yams, soya beans, cassava, maize and others, noting that the partnership aims to establish a world-class agro-processing hub that incorporates these foods into well-finished products.
