The national president of Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU), Alhaji AbdulMumini AbdulMalik, has appealed to the new Inspector General of Police Mr Olatunji Rilwan Disu to ensure that insecurity in the country is checked.
He also begged him for the deployment of more men and resources to Kwara State to enhance security of lives and property.
AbdulMalik said Disu’s appointment was very significant considering the security challenges facing the country.
He described Disu as a distinguished , thoroughbred officer and gentleman with records of alluring achievements.
He added that Disu’s experience garnered over the last three decades from across the nation had adequately prepared him for the task of successfully leading the nation’s police.
AbdulMalik, who is a retired Assistant Comptroller General of Nigeria Immigration Service, said Disu is considered naturally friendly but firm wherever he served .
He noted that Disu had been a very good friend of the people of Ilorin Emirate everywhere he served and therefore prayed Allah to guide and direct him aright in his new assignment.
