Kwara State Social Investment Programme (KWASSIP) has begun the payment of another one-off N50,000 Owo Arugbo social benefit for 10,000 senior citizens in the state.
A statement by the governor ‘s chief press secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye said the beneficiaries of the scheme cut across the 16 local government areas of the state.
He added that the governor has also approved that the processes for the 2025/2026 promotion for civil servants should commence.
“This will leave the state with no promotion arrears in the civil service,” he stated.
