Alan Peter Adeboye Gets Youth Leadership Advocacy Award In Zimbabwe

Ambassador Alan Peter Adeboye has been honoured with the Youth Leadership Advocacy Award at the 2026 Iconic Africa Summit & Honours held at the Rainbow Towers Hotel and Conference Centre in Harare.

The recognition was presented during the summit’s grand awards ceremony, which attracted policymakers, diplomats, development partners, youth leaders, and private sector stakeholders from across 54 countries. The award celebrates Ambassador Adeboye’s consistent efforts in promoting youth inclusion, leadership development, and cross-border collaboration across the African continent.

The summit, convened under the theme “The Africa We Want: Sustainable Development; Everyone’s Responsibility,” served as a high-level platform for strategic dialogue on Africa’s socio-economic transformation, regional integration, and youth empowerment within the framework of the African Continental Free Trade Area.

Ambassador Adeboye, who serves as Special Envoy on Youth Affairs at the International Forum for Peace and Diplomacy, was recognised for his impactful advocacy in youth diplomacy and sustainable development initiatives across Africa.

His work has focused on empowering young leaders, strengthening institutional partnerships, and advancing platforms that position young people as key stakeholders in governance and innovation.

The award was presented in the presence of high-profile dignitaries, including Zimbabwe’s Vice President, Kembo Mohadi, alongside senior government officials and continental stakeholders, reinforcing the summit’s status as a premier gathering for Africa’s thought leaders.

Organised by Iconic International Holdings, the 2026 edition of the summit featured more than 30 eminent speakers and over 1,000 delegates. The event culminated in the unveiling of the celebrated “Iconic 500” list, recognising individuals whose leadership and social impact transcend national boundaries.

Speaking after receiving the award, Ambassador Adeboye expressed gratitude to the organisers and reaffirmed his commitment to deepening youth engagement in policy, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development across Africa.
