The Chima-Anyaso Foundation, in collaboration with the Ahuoma Anyaso Educational Foundation, has reaffirmed its commitment to expanding sustainable healthcare and economic development initiatives in Abia State.
The foundations announced plans to strengthen collaboration with the Abia State Government to align their philanthropic interventions with the state’s development agenda, particularly in improving healthcare access, human capital development and support for vulnerable groups.
Under the renewed partnership, the foundations will also work with international development partners, including the World Bank Group and Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, to enhance healthcare delivery, community-based interventions and economic empowerment programmes across communities in the state.
Speaking on the initiative, Chima Anyaso said the intervention reflects a long-standing commitment to social investment, especially in Bende Federal Constituency.
“As part of our vision, we are pleased to further strengthen collaboration with the Abia State Government through the provision of sustainable health and economic interventions for the people of Abia, particularly in communities within Bende Federal Constituency,” he said.
According to him, the initiative will prioritise healthcare access, disease prevention, economic inclusion and educational support for underserved communities facing socio-economic challenges.
Anyaso noted that partnerships with global institutions would enhance the scope and effectiveness of the interventions through technical support, funding and expertise.
He commended Governor Alex Otti for what he described as pragmatic reforms aimed at improving governance and service delivery in the state.
“Our sincere appreciation goes to the leadership of Governor Alex Otti for driving policies that are beginning to translate into improved health outcomes and renewed hope for our people,” he stated.
The foundations reiterated their commitment to sustained investment in education, healthcare and human capital development through scholarships, medical outreach programmes and economic empowerment initiatives targeted at indigent and vulnerable residents.
