A management expert Dr Olufunke Agbesanya has charged the society, particularly men to allow women the opportunity to give their best for the transformation of their homes and the country.

Mrs Agbesanya who made the call at Christ Apostolic Church, Oluwasogo, Glorious Arena District Headquarters, Osogbo on Sunday in a lecture with the theme “Give to gain” as part of programmes for 2026 ‘International Women’s Day’, said Nigerian women are capable of moving the nation forward.

Citing scriptures such as Eccl: 11:1, 1 Peter 3:7, Romans 138-10, Prov. 3:9-12, 13:22, 11:24, Agbesanya said there is no amount of investment on women that will not yield bountiful dividend, adding that God endowed women with unlimited capacity to make impact at home and the larger society.

Her words: “Women impact are now reflecting to the extent that empowering women has become critical in our country starting from individual homes health, education among others and we see the effect in various capacities”

She enjoined husbands to guide, mentor, enable their wives to fulfill their vision by offering network services, adding that they should empower them financially, create conducive atmosphere to operate and back them up by being available and giving quality attention, cooperation and love in all sincerity.

Agbesanya noted that women are ‘fertile land’ and naturally helpful with the advice that husbands should ‘service’ their wives because they are endowed with the power of multiplication in all ramifications.

Dr. Agbesanya however charged women to live up to expectations wherever they might find themselves may it be in the corridor of power, finances, entrepreneurship, professionally and most importantly as wives and mothers at home.
