The First Lady of Zamfara State, Hajiya Hurriya Dauda Lawal, has successfully completed the 2026 Ramadan Food Package Distribution Tour by delivering 50,000 food packages to vulnerable households across all fourteen (14) Local Government Areas of the State.

The programme is recognised as one of the largest coordinated humanitarian interventions undertaken by the first Office.

The statewide outreach concluded with a closing ceremony in Gusau, followed by a comprehensive and inclusive distribution plan to ensure equitable access for beneficiaries in both urban and rural communities.

The tour started in Shinkafi and Zurmi, then moved on to Birnin Magaji and Kaura Namoda. It continued through Gummi and Bukkuyum, then Anka and Talata Mafara, Maradun and Bakura, and Maru and Bungudu, before finally ending in Tsafe and Gusau.

Hajiya Hurriya Dauda Lawal said that each of the 50,000 food packages contained 20kg of rice, beans, maize, millet, 5kg of sugar, spaghetti, cooking oil, salt, and clothing materials for women.
