The residents who trooped out to receive the medical services commended the foundation for the gesture.
One of the beneficiaries, Mrs Grace Femi said, “This is the best gift I have received this year. So many of us here have one ailment or the other but no money to buy drugs or even go for a check-up. Honestly, the foundation has answered our prayers here in Down Quarters.”

Also, Hajiya Halima Abubakar, a 46-year-old mother of seven children, said the foundation had wiped away her tears by treating two of her daughters who got infected with malaria parasite.
“We want to talk to the government and our leaders in this area for sanitation. In the past, Down Quarters was not like this. Our people are no longer taking care of this environment,” she said.

Addressing the residents, the director-general of the foundation, Mrs Grace Jessica Daniels, said, ” I grew up in this area and I understand the challenges people here go through. Most hospitals around here are private and are expensive.
