The Ondo State chapter of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA), a key support group for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has unveiled a massive voter mobilization plan, targeting over 90,000 canvassers across the state to support the president re-election in 2027.
‎
‎The state RHA coordinator, Victor Olabimtan, made this disclosure on Tuesday in Akure, the state capital, during the inauguration of various organs/committees of the state chapter of the group.
‎
‎Olabimtan noted that the group had developed a coordinated campaign strategy aimed at mobilizing supporters across the state, ensuring maximum turnout during the elections.
‎
‎He said that the campaign strategy was designed to engage voters directly at the grassroots level, ensuring maximum participation and turnout during the elections.
‎
‎According to him, the plans focused on grassroots engagement, targeting every community and polling unit to strengthen the president’s support base.
‎
‎He noted that over 90,000 canvassers will be recruitted across the state, 25 from each unit to carry out the grassroots engagement. Each canvasser will be tasked with visiting households, educating residents on the achievements of the president and state leaders, and mobilizing registered voters to participate in the election.
‎
‎He said, “Our target now for the president is between 800 thousand to 1 million votes. This is a big challenge that is why the RHA has been structured in such a way that he would get these votes.
‎
‎”The president has directed that in each of the polling unit we should get him 25 canvasses, all these people would be remunerated three months before and two months after, and the remuneration would collected directly.
‎
‎”These 25 canvassers will go from house to house canvassing, talking, and telling people what Tinubu has done. It’s not difficult to pick the leaders in each unit who will select those 25 people ready to do the work.
‎
‎”We have over 3,000 polling units in Ondo State, so 25 canverssas from each units will give us over 90,000 canverssas from the state.”
‎
‎The RHA coordinator also explained that the group will work closely with other support groups in the state to guarantee unity and avoid duplication of efforts, ensuring that all resources are directed toward the same electoral goal.
‎
‎”President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is a man of many paths and many people want to work for him, and he’s not against people working for him. Therefore, at the launching of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors in Abuja, we were told point blank that all other support groups are allowed to work for President Tinubu but they must synergize with the Renewed Hope Ambassadors.
‎
‎”As a result, we are going to collaborate with all the other support groups because they are working for the same person; they are working for President Tinubu, and APC,” Olabimtan stressed.
‎
‎With over a thousand aspirants competing for fewer positions in the state, Olabimtan stressed that the nomination process will be closely managed to ensure fairness.
‎
‎He noted that every candidate is guaranteed a level playing field, with measures in place to prevent conflicts or implosions.
‎
‎He added, “As far as the Renewed Hope Ambassadors is concerned, we will provide a level playing field for all the other candidates. Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the candidate of everybody for president, and that same approach will be applied to every other candidate.
‎
‎”Each state has already put in a mechanism whereby all this will be resolved without any acrimony. The leaders will sit down, meet the governor, then the leader of the party. He will call those he wants to call, review the situation, and then decide.”
