The Northern Christian Association, also known as the Christian Association of Northern States and the FCT, has extended felicitations to the Muslim Ummah on the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan, calling on all Nigerians to embrace the lessons of the season for the nation’s unity, peace and progress.
In a goodwill message issued to mark Eid-el-Fitr, the chairman of the association, Rev. Joseph John Hayab, described the month of fasting, prayer, reflection and devotion as a testament to the faith, discipline and spiritual commitment of Muslims across the country.
“I extend our heartfelt congratulations and warm felicitations to you on the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan. This period of fasting, prayer, reflection, and devotion is a testament to your faith, discipline, and commitment to spiritual growth,” Hayab said.
He further expressed hope that the virtues cultivated during Ramadan would endure beyond the holy month, inspiring collective efforts toward national development.
“As you celebrate Eid al-Fitr, may this joyous occasion bring you and your families peace, happiness, and abundant blessings. May the lessons of Ramadan compassion, generosity, and unity continue to inspire us all to work together for a harmonious and prosperous Nigeria,” he added.
The chairman prayed that Almighty Allah would accept the acts of worship and reward the faithful with mercy and grace for the rapid development of the country.
In his concluding remarks, Hayab emphasised the need for interfaith harmony, urging Nigerians to remain steadfast in fostering mutual respect, understanding, and love among all faiths and communities.
“Let us continue to foster mutual respect, understanding, and love among all faiths and communities in our beloved nation,” he prayed.
