The trailer of ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ has hit over 24,300,000 views days after its release on YouTube.
The fourth instalment of the Tom Holland version of the superhero movie begins four years after the events of ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’.
Viewers see Peter Parker, after erasing the memories of his loved ones, living alone as a full-time superhero, saving people anonymously. However, Peter’s lonely life is exacerbated by a sudden physical evolution – a mutating DNA.
“Spiders have three life cycles. When between cycles, it can leave the spider vulnerable to threats. And for those spiders who make it through, it amounts to a kind of rebirth.”
In addition to dealing with a physical evolution that threatens his existence, he faces a strange new pattern of crimes that gives rise to one of the most powerful threats he has ever faced.
Netizens were both thrilled and sad to see the neighbourhood superhero going through emotional hoops.
“Never thought I’d see Spider-Man this depressed, bro is going through it,” @whxpz_
“This just might turn out to be the most emotionally compelling Spider-Man movie yet,” @yk_bbs-n7I
“Marvel really gave him a fresh start just to struggle again,” @SunsetLast
“First Marvel film I’ve genuinely been excited for since End Game,” @3DSte1985
Based on the Marvel Comic book by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko, Spider-Man: Brand New Day was written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, and produced by Kevin Feige, Amy D’Esposito, and David Cain.
