All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bauchi State has inaugurated its 36 newly elected State Executive Council members, with Alhaji Muhammad Hassan Tilde, as the state chairman.

The oath of office was administered on them yesterday at the state party secretariat by Barr. Abdulmumini Adamu who presented them with their certificates.

LEADERSHIP reports that of the 36 elected officials, 29 were sworn-in during the ceremony, while seven were absent.

Those sworn in include the Bauchi State Chairman, Muhammad Hassan Tilde; State Secretary, Mustapha Zurami; Zonal Vice Chairmen Yusuf Kawu Gana II and Ibrahim Ahmad (Zone III); Legal Adviser, Barr. Kabiru Garba; Assistant Legal Adviser, Mohammed A. Umar; State Treasurer, Ahmed Abubakar Yaro; Financial Secretary, Bilya Usman Burna; and Assistant Financial Secretary, Lamara Ahmad Jajo.

Others are State Organising Secretary, Alhaji Yahaya Muhammad; Auditor, Ayuba Musa; and Publicity Secretary, Shehu Dauda Mohammed; State welfare Secretary, Ibrahim Gambo; state women leader Rabi Musa, among others.

However, seven officials were not present at the swearing-in. They include Vice Chairman Ibrahim Makama; Assistant Secretary Rifkatu Samson Daniel; Zonal Vice Chairman I, Abdulmumini Kundak; and State Treasurer Alhaji Hassan Lawal, among others.

Speaking on behalf of the newly inaugurated executives, Alhaji Muhammad Hassan Tilde pledged to justify the confidence reposed in them and provide responsible leadership for the party.

He urged members of the executive committee to adhere strictly to party rules and carry out their responsibilities with integrity and fear of God.

The chairman also called on party members across the state to support and pray for the success of the new leadership, particularly ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Tilde explained that although the party elections were held on March 3, the swearing-in was delayed until March 25 due to procedural requirements.

According to him, the absence of some officials was due to travel commitments, noting that some were out of the country, including one in Saudi Arabia, while others attended the party’s zonal congress in Gombe State.

He assured that the remaining officials would be sworn in before the party’s national convention.

Tilde expressed appreciation to party stakeholders for the opportunity to serve and vowed to work diligently toward securing electoral victories for the APC at all levels, including the presidency, governorship, National Assembly, and State Assembly seats.

He advised the party members to mobilize the residents of the state to ensure victory for the party at all times.
