Iran’s Parliament Speaker, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, on Wednesday issued a stern warning to the United States, cautioning Washington not to test Iran’s resolve to defend its land.
Ghalibaf’s remarks come amid reports that the United States is deploying additional troops to the region, a move that has heightened concerns over potential military confrontation.
In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter), the Iranian lawmaker said Tehran was closely monitoring American military activities.
“We are closely monitoring all US movements in the region, especially troop deployments,” he wrote.
He further warned that increased military presence would not resolve existing tensions,
“What the generals have broken, the soldiers can’t fix; instead, they will fall victim to (Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin) Netanyahu’s delusions,” Ghalibaf added, referencing Benjamin Netanyahu.
The Iranian speaker concluded with a direct caution to Washington: “Do not test our resolve to defend our land.”
