Nigerian tennis sensation, Seun Ogunsakin, has been crowned champion of the ITF J200 Africa U-18 Regional Championship in Cairo, Egypt.

The 17-year-old delivered an impressive performance against some of the continent’s top junior players.

Ogunsakin displayed exceptional form throughout the tournament, dominating his opponents from the early rounds. He secured his place in the final with a convincing straight-sets victory over Algeria’s Yacine Meghari (6-1, 6-2) on the clay courts. His path to the title included consistent and composed wins over other highly-ranked African juniors in the quarter and semi-finals.

In the final, Ogunsakin produced a standout display to defeat a Grand Slam-experienced opponent, securing one of the most significant junior titles of his career. This victory firmly establishes him as one of Africa’s leading Under-18 players.
