The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, has eulogised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the occasion of his 74th birthday, describing him as a pro-democracy hero and visionary leader.
In a congratulatory message, Abbas paid glowing tributes to the President, portraying him as a freedom fighter, philanthropist, seasoned public administrator, political strategist, and “a builder of people across divides.”
The Speaker noted that Tinubu had paid his dues over the years and continues to nurture a network of progressive Nigerians committed to building a nation citizens can be proud of.
A statement issued by the Speaker’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Musa Abdullahi Krishi, said Abbas highlighted the President’s vast experience across both the private and public sectors, noting that it is reflected in his leadership and performance in office.
He added that under the Renewed Hope Agenda, Nigeria is witnessing far-reaching reforms and a strategic realignment of resources aimed at improving the lives of citizens and securing the future.
According to Abbas, President Tinubu confronted Nigeria’s challenges head-on upon assuming office, demonstrating uncommon courage by taking difficult decisions that are now beginning to yield positive results and place the country on the path of growth and development.
The Speaker also recalled his remarks at the APC National Convention on Friday, where he commended the administration’s efforts.
“Today, the foundations are being reset. Revenues to states have improved. Transparency has increased. Infrastructure is advancing. Security coordination is strengthening. These are not isolated steps; they are part of a clear direction,” he said.
Abbas further noted that Tinubu’s leadership has strengthened the All Progressives Congress (APC), making it one of the most dominant political parties in the nation’s history.
He urged Nigerians to continue to pray for the President, stressing that citizens across political, religious, and ethnic divides stand to benefit from his administration.
The Speaker wished Tinubu good health, longevity, and the strength to continue repositioning Nigeria beyond 2027.
He also prayed to Allah (SWT) to grant the President wisdom, grace, and resilience to steer the country towards peace, unity, and prosperity.
