A Makurdi-based legal practitioner, Felix Zahemen Uwar, has declared his intention to contest for the Logo constituency seat in Benue State House of Assembly under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 polls.
Uwar, who has practiced law for over 12 years, said if voted into office, he would liaise with the state governor, Hyacinth Alia, to attract investment, support local businesses and create opportunities for the constituents.
Speaking with journalists in Makurdi over his ambition and plans for the constituency, Uwar said he supports the re-election of Governor Alia in 2027 for more dividends of democracy to be delivered to the people.
Uwar who said he has been a strong member of Governor Alia’s legal team during the tussle for the state local government areas, said he would be accessible, accountable and transparent and work tirelessly for the betterment of the people of Logo constituency.
He said, “I hereby offer myself to serve the good people of Logo, I am committed to representing the good people of Logo with integrity, transparency and dedication. If elected, I will liaise with the executive governor to attract investments, support local businesses and create opportunities for our youth.
“Similarly, I will advocate for policies that will ensure accessible, quality education for all, from primary to tertiary levels.
“Together with the executive governor, we shall improve healthcare infrastructure, equip facilities and make healthcare affordable and upgrade roads, water supply and electricity to boost the living standards and create a synergy with security agencies to ensure safety and community-led policing initiatives,” he said.
