Boniface Returns To Werder Bremen After Leverkusen Rehab

Super Eagles forward Victor Boniface has rejoined Werder Bremen after completing a rehabilitation period at Bayer Leverkusen.

The striker underwent surgery in January following an injury sustained during a training session. There is optimism that Boniface could still feature before the season concludes.

“Victor will train individually for the entire week initially. Afterwards, he will be carefully reintroduced to team training, so that we hope he can still play this season,” confirmed Werder Bremen Head of Professional Football Peter Niemeyer.

Boniface joined Werder Bremen on loan from Bayer Leverkusen last summer and has provided two assists in 12 league appearances for the ‘Greens’
