A traditional ruler, the Olojudo Alayemore of Ido-Osun Kingdom, Oba Olayinka Ishola Jokotola, has ordered the sealing off of White Calling for All Souls Ministries Central Headquarters in Ido-Osun over an alleged attempt to cause religious unrest in the community.
Its founder, Prophet Odeyemi Ezekiel, was recently alleged to have entered the Osun Osogbo Sacred Grove and engaged in activities viewed as desecrating it.
The alleged entry had infuriated traditional worshippers, who viewed it as an invitation to a religious crisis.
A statement by the Eesa of Ido-Osun, High Chief Basiru Oyewale, revealed that the palace had visited the church to invite the pastor, but didn’t meet him, while every other effort to hear from him had failed.
“Having refused to show up despite invitation and visitation to his church, the palace will not look akimbo while some elements are attempting to cause religious unrest in Ido-Osun Alayemore Kingdom.
“We see the act by Odeyemi as an invitation to religious crisis, which has never been recorded in our kingdom, and if not checked properly, may jeopardise the peaceful coexistence among the three religions in Ido-Osun and Osun State at large,” he said.
“The Kabiyesi Alayemore has ordered that the church be sealed immediately and indefinitely while its founder is also declared wanted by the Palace,” Chief Oyewale said.
The Palace also revealed that the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Ido-Osun chapter, has dissociated itself from Odeyemi and his actions.
