Kebbi State Police Command has said it killed one bandit and recovered 33 rustled cows along Kamba-Kangiwa Road in Dandi local government area of the state.
According to a statement by the command’s spokesman, SP Bashir Usman, the success story was as a result of the efforts by the Joint operation with the Nigerian Army’s Forward Operating Base (FOB) at Kamba who mobilised and pursued some suspected bandits who stormed a farmhouse and rustled the said cows.
The statement further indicated that in an attempt to flee, the troops neutralised one of the bandits and recovered the 33 rustled cows.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Umar Muhammed Hadejia, commended the efforts of the troops for their quick intervention which resulted in the successful operation.
He advised residents to always report suspicious moves to security agencies.
