The Chancellor of Trinity University, Yaba, Samuel Adedoyin, has called for sustained government investment in youth-focused policies.

He stressed that empowering young Nigerians would yield long-term dividends and strengthen inclusive national development.

Adedoyin made the call while delivering his address at the 4th convocation ceremony of the 2024/2025 set, held recently at the Trinity University City Campus, Yaba, Lagos.

He said that Nigerian youth are the leaders and changemakers of tomorrow, acknowledging the efforts of government to support student and youth initiatives aimed at empowering and equipping them for the future.

“We encourage continued progress in this direction. With the right support, young Nigerians can drive innovation, tackle challenges and build a more prosperous, inclusive nation.

“There should be more policies that foster growth and create opportunities for young Nigerians, as this will yield dividends for the nation.”

The Chancellor also enjoined the graduates to remain focused and driven in spite of challenges, highlighting their potential to drive innovation, build resilience and contribute meaningfully to shaping a prosperous, inclusive Nigeria.

According to him, society needs problem-solvers and changemakers. “You have been thoroughly equipped; go out there and make your mark. Use your skills to tackle challenges, spark innovation and create impact. Be part of shaping Nigeria’s future positively.”

Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Trinity University, Tade Adebowale, expressed delight at the progress and growth recorded by the institution, founded in 2019, and thanked stakeholders.

Tade reiterated the board’s commitment to supporting the mission and vision, adding that it would continue to provide strategic guidance and ensure that the university remains on a path of growth and excellence.

Tade, who commended the graduands for their dedication and accomplishments, advised them, saying, “As you step into the world beyond Trinity University, remember that your purpose is bigger than your degree.
