Lagos State deputy governor, Dr Obafemi Hamzat, has called on Nigerians to be active advocates of the President Bola Tinubu administration’s achievements, saying his policies are focused on ensuring Nigeria’s financial sustainability.

Hamzat who spoke yesterday at the South West Zonal Walk, organised by the ‘Relax Tinubu is Fixing Nigeria (RTIFN) Group’ at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Lagos, stressed that it is important for citizens to deliberately share information about ongoing laudable efforts, as many people may not yet be fully aware of the President’s initiatives and reforms aimed at making Nigeria great.

“It is important for us all to be evangelists to spread his good works around in our communities, we must go out of bounds, and we must let people know, because a lot of people might not know what the president is doing,” he said.

He therefore urged collective responsibility in communicating these efforts, reaffirming that informed citizens play a crucial role in building a stronger and more prosperous nation.

Hamzat further explained that economic stability remains central to national progress, explaining that the President’s policies are focused on ensuring Nigeria’s financial sustainability.

“Money is important. So what the president is doing for us is to make sure that Nigeria is financially sustainable.

Any nation that is not financially sustainable will collapse. We have seen it happen, and we don’t want that to happen. And now the President has made sure that our economy is stable, but it will take time, because Nigeria did not start last year. It did not start in 2023. Nigeria started a long time ago,” he added.

While highlighting some of the achievements of the President Tinubu-led administration, the deputy governor noted that the president has made sure that the policies of the country are stable, investors can be attracted, and the foreign exchange is stable.

He assured that the positive impact of these reforms would soon be seen by the populace, reiterating that a lot of the Nigerian students are going to universities, as a result of the student loan programme.

He added that, “Over millions have already benefited from our children. So we are building the future of our country, we must be vigilant, we must tell people what is going on.”
