Obi Cubana In Alleged Land Dispute Over Multi-Billion Naira Estate

Popular businessman, Obi Cubana, has been dragged into a fresh controversy following claims by a group of indigenes in Asaba, Delta State, over the ownership of the land used for his Cubana Millennium City project.

The dispute came to light shortly after the nightlife boss celebrated his 51st birthday by unveiling a luxury model home within the massive estate. However, a viral video has surfaced showing local claimants alleging that the land was sold to the businessman by “land grabbers” at a giveaway price without their full consent.

In the video, one of the group’s spokespeople accused middlemen of selling the property through questionable means. He claimed that the community was not properly consulted about the size of the land being acquired and that they were only offered small amounts of money after the businessman had already moved to occupy the site.

“Obi Cubana came to occupy our land, but he didn’t tell us the quantity of land he wanted to buy,” the claimant alleged. He further questioned how individuals without proper title documents could sell the land to the businessman at such a cheap rate.

The Cubana Millennium City is designed to be a “city within a city,” featuring high-end luxury homes. At the time of this report, Obi Cubana’s team has not released an official statement regarding the claims made by the Asaba indigenes.
