Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Kaduna campaign management committee has said the leader of the party, Senator Ahmed Makarfi is 100 per cent behind the party’s governorship candidate, Isa Ashiru and Atiku Abubakar’s presidential bid come 2023.
The assistant director of media and publicity, Kaduna PDP directorate of campaign management committee, Hon. Victor Matthew Bobai who accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state of sponsoring internal crisis in the party said Alhaji Ahmed Mohammed Makarfi remains focused on leading the People of Kaduna to return power to the people and institute a PDP leadership by 2023.
He said: “The APC government had brought deliberate division in Kaduna by creating huge religious and ethnic problems, deliberately refused to tackle Insecurity, mismanaged economic and political opportunities.
“The APC is not ready to go due to mismanagement issues and is doing everything to collaborate with certain individuals within the PDP to set internal crisis as part of their strategy of divide and rule , which could be described as “yet another pitiable and disgraceful manner of wanting power beyond 2023”.
He said the APC has resorted to fabrications, insults and attempts “to invent allegations against a good name, a political leader and purposeful driven and pragmatic political field master ,a leader of leaders and great unifier par excellence , Senator Ahmed Mohammed Makarfi.
“Makarfi is committed to the project of returning PDP back to power in Kaduna and at the federal level 100 per cent.”
He further stated that Makarfi has been investing his personal resources ever since PDP lost out in 2015 till date.
He restated that Senator Makarfi is someone who has refused to move an inch from the PDP because “he believes totally in the principles of the party” , and its culture of fairness and Inclusivity.
