PDP Urges Abians To Reject APC In 2027

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Abia State chapter has urged voters to reject the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2027, accusing the members of being driven by selfish interest.

The chairman of the Caretaker Committee of the chapter, Ikpegbu Emeka-Yellow, made the appeal, yesterday, while addressing newsmen in Umuahia, the state capital.

In his address titled “Abians should reject APC in 2027,” he described them as recycled politicians, saying the state deserves genuine, visionary, and accountable leadership.

”Under no circumstances should the state fall into the hands of APC as they are ganging up against the development strides going on in the state now.”

His words: “A vote for APC is a vote for hardship, stagnation, and regression. We must not import the failures of the federal government into our state.”

”It is important to note that many of those championing the APC in the state now are the same people who presided over years of underdevelopment and mismanagement.”

Joined by some members of the committee, he said: “They seek to rebrand themselves under a different platform, but, Abians are wiser and will not be deceived. Let us be vigilant.

‎”We therefore, call on all political leadership in the state irrespective of party affiliation, to rise above partisan interest and unite in defense of our democracy.

‎”This is not just a political contest; it is a struggle for the soul and future of our state and nation,” he noted, extending hand of collaboration to other opposition forces in the state.

He observed that the collaboration would work together to resist any attempt by the APC to infiltrate, destabilize, or dominate the political space through undemocratic means.

‎”To our party faithful, we urge calm, unity, and steadfast support for the leadership of our great party under the Kabiru Taminu Turaki led National Working Committee.

‎”The PDP is repositioned, reinvigorated, and ready to rescue the country from the grip of misrule come 2027,” the chairman further maintained.
