Nigerian Teenage Cycling Sensation, Grace Osaretin, Conquers Stage 5 Of Tour du Burkina Faso

Nigerian cycling prodigy, Grace Osaretin, has clinched a remarkable victory in Stage 5 of the prestigious Tour du Burkina Faso, further cementing her status as one of Africa’s most exciting young talents.

This latest triumph adds another chapter to Osaretin’s extraordinary journey, defined by grit and rapid progression. From her humble beginnings pushing a wheelbarrow, she has blossomed into a national and continental junior champion, becoming an inspiration across Nigeria.

Her national breakthrough arrived at the 2024 National Sports Festival (Gateway Games) in Ogun State. There, she stunned observers by defeating Nigeria’s first Olympic cyclist, Ese Ukpeseraye, to secure gold in the Women’s 200m Sprint Final.

Building on that success, she then earned another gold medal in the women’s road race at the inaugural African School Games in Annaba, Algeria, underscoring her dominance among her peers.
