The new commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Kwara State, Abas Nda Mohammed, has warned criminal elements to relocate from the state.

He warned that the command would not hesitate to enforce the full weight of the law against offenders.

He also pledged stronger operational strategies, improved intelligence gathering and sustained collaboration with stakeholders in the fight against crime and protection of critical national assets in the state.

Speaking with LEADERSHIP in Ilorin, Mohammed  described his appointment as the 16th commandant of the NSCDC in Kwara as a privilege and a call to greater responsibility.

“I have recently assumed duty as the 16th substantive commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Kwara State Command, and I consider it a privilege to serve,” he added.

Reaffirming the corps’ mandate, the new commandant stressed that the agency remained committed to safeguarding lives and protecting critical national infrastructure across the state.
